What's inside
The Packaging Launch Checklist is the list our specialists run through before a brand places its first custom packaging order. It turns a confusing process into sixty yes/no checks, grouped in the order you will meet them.
1. Product and fit
Measure the packed kit, not just the product. Record weight, fragility and how the product is packed, and choose clearances for snug, padded or fragile items.
2. Structure
Choose a box style that matches how the product travels and is sold: mailer, shipping box, carton, rigid box or pouch. Confirm the opening direction and insert needs.
3. Material and strength
Pick board grade and flute from weight and stacking needs, with a quick reference to ECT values.
4. Artwork
A pre-flight list for dielines, bleed, safe zones, resolution, CMYK and Pantone, fonts, finish layers and barcodes.
5. Labeling
Prompts for required information in common categories (food, cosmetics, supplements, candles) so you leave space before designing. Not legal advice, but it flags what to check.
6. Budget
How to compare quantities and price breaks, and the questions to ask so quotes include setup, shipping and samples.
7. Samples and proofs
What to test on a sample and what to check on a proof before approval.
8. Logistics
Delivery access, storage space, reorder timing and how to receive and inspect a delivery.
Who it's for
First-time buyers, founders launching a product, and teams standardizing how they order packaging.
