CustomPacka wants everyone to be able to research, design and order packaging on our website, including people who use assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.
What we do
- Semantic structure: headings, landmarks, lists and tables marked up so screen readers can navigate them
- Keyboard access: menus, forms, tabs, the chat assistant and dialogs can be used with a keyboard, with visible focus indicators and a "skip to content" link
- Text alternatives: descriptive alt text for informative images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
- Color and contrast: text and controls designed for sufficient contrast; information is not conveyed by color alone
- Forms: visible labels, clear error messages and status announcements
- Reduced motion: animations are minimized when your device requests reduced motion
- Responsive layout: content reflows on small screens and supports browser zoom up to 200% and beyond
- Plain language: we explain packaging terms and keep instructions clear
Known limitations
- 3D Box Builder: the interactive 3D view is visual. All of its settings are available as standard form controls, and every design can be described in a quote request; our team can also prepare a 3D proof for you.
- Dielines and diagrams: technical drawings are visual by nature. Key measurements are also provided as text and tables.
- Third-party content: some embedded or linked services (such as checkout and social networks) are provided by others and may not fully meet our standard.
- Uploaded community content: posts and images from members may not always include text alternatives.
We review the site regularly and fix issues as we find them.
