How to choose a custom box style

Every product page above includes live price estimates, popular sizes, a free dieline and the finishes that suit that structure. If you are not sure where to start, these four questions narrow it down quickly:

  1. Does the box ship on its own through parcel networks? Choose a mailer box for a branded unboxing or a shipping box for the lowest cost per cubic inch.
  2. Will it sit on a retail shelf or peg? Choose a tuck end box, auto-lock bottom box, window box or hanger box.
  3. Is the box part of the gift? Choose a rigid box, magnetic closure box, two-piece box, sleeve box or paper tube.
  4. Is the product loose, pourable or freshness-sensitive? Choose a stand-up pouch.

Many brands combine styles: a retail carton inside a printed mailer, a rigid gift box inside a shipper, or a pouch inside a gift box. Our box styles guide compares every structure in depth.

Frequently asked questions

What is the most popular custom box style?

Mailer boxes are the most requested style for direct-to-consumer brands, and tuck end boxes for retail products.

Can I order a box style that is not listed?

Yes. We produce many other structures, including custom die-cut designs. Describe what you need or send a reference photo in your quote request.

Do you charge extra for custom sizes?

No. Every box is made to order, so custom sizes cost the same as popular sizes for the same board area.

How do I know which size to order?

Measure your packed product, add clearance and use our Box Size Finder to calculate inside and outside dimensions.
